The Nancy Reagan Breast Center at Adventist Health Simi Valley, the city’s only hospital, is planning an expansion to double its size and services, and the hospital’s foundation is raising money from the community to make it happen. I talked with Kathryn from the foundation at the Fall 2023 Simi Valley Street Fair.
Why is the Nancy Reagan Breast Center expanding?
Kathryn told me the center was about to turn 30 and needs more room to take care of more women. The plan is to double its size and services and make it more comfortable and welcoming. It already has new equipment, including 3D mammography and DEXA scans, through a partnership with Rolling Oaks Radiology.
Who does Adventist Health Simi Valley serve?
It’s Simi Valley’s one and only hospital, a faith-based nonprofit serving Simi Valley, Moorpark, north Thousand Oaks, and Porter Ranch. As Kathryn put it, when a community partners with its hospital, everybody gets better health care.
How can you help?
