Indian Haweli is a North Indian restaurant on East Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley, serving Punjabi-style dishes like chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and biryani, plus a lunch buffet and catering. Indian food is one of my favorite cuisines and I come here for lunch often, so Tricia and I visited owner KB.
What kind of Indian food does Indian Haweli serve?
KB told us the menu is North Indian cuisine from the Punjab region, near the border with Pakistan. He trained in hotel management in India, worked as a chef in Studio City for about 10 years, and then bought the restaurant to run his own.
What should you order?
- Chicken tikka masala and butter chicken: the top community favorites.
- Chicken biryani and chicken curry.
- Naan: regular, garlic, or cheese. Sometimes I come just for the naan.
- The lunch buffet: my go-to.
