The Endless Summer Beer Fest is a Simi Valley fundraiser put on by the local Rotary, with breweries from around the region, hard seltzers and kombucha, live music, food, and a VIP section, and proceeds going to Rotary community projects. I spent the evening at the 2023 Beer Fest asking people what they were drinking, and it was a great time.
Which breweries were at Beer Fest 2023?
- Firestone Walker: the Oktoberfest was a crowd favorite.
- 14 Cannons (Westlake Village): Liquid Gold, a vanilla coffee cream ale, and a 10.5 percent triple IPA.
- San Fernando Brewing Company: one of the longest lines of the night.
- Flying Embers (Ojai): hard kombucha.
- Sangria Tigre (Oxnard): michelada mixes, with another long line.
- Tarantula Hill and Cellador Ales, plus many more breweries and seltzers.
What else was there?
Live music from the band Bad Habit, tacos and other food, pretzel necklaces (the perfect beer fest snack), and a new VIP section. Attendees told me what they love most about Simi Valley: the people, the small-town community, and how everyone gets together for festivals like this.
Where does the money go?
The Rotary District Governor, Marta Brown, told me the proceeds go to projects in the community to make it a better place to live.
Planning to go?
In 2023, general admission was $50 for unlimited tastings. One tip I heard over and over: buy your tickets early, because they sell out. Check with Simi Valley Rotary for this year’s date and tickets. The event is for adults 21 and over.
